Another cypherpunked day at the city

Shite, some customers really have it. Two hours talk about decision making algorithms, and all that while Smuggler waits for his cracker to pierce into the next store of loot. Finally he had come free from the meeting and quickly walked down the street. Damn hot day, again. But clouds started crowding the sky, promising some air cleaning.

Better to get a fucking roof to hide under – since it wasn’t really advisable to be soaked by the downpour of H2O and all the airborne shite – nanobots, viruses, bacteria. This week the newest in the collection of microscopic bastards was looking for new victims. The body count already above 50, EHEC was the scare of the day. Until someone deemed the common flue as the end of humans again.

Not that Smuggler cared, he simply hated to run around in soaked clothes. But he had already spotted a free seat at the noodle shop cross the street, hurrying there before any of those fat, old sex tourists could squat it.

Almost two years without a post. Time to gather some courage and post again. In the future, much of what I write will go here. Even those things not otherwise published, and even those things that have not been copy read. Read at your own risk, and don’t use it to teach spelling or grammar.

Scribble: All that is Peaceful

ALLTHATISPEACEFUL-small

Usually I refer to myself as an anarchist, or maybe an anarcho-capitalist, sometimes even as a voluntaryist. But none of those terms are satisfactory when talking with people that are not well versed in the theory of those terms. And, those terms fall short of describing my motivations and basic views on “right life” in society. Therefor I shall confront you, my dear reader, with the guiding motto of my life: “All that is Peaceful.”

State == Evil

Many people look at me with crossed eyes when I mention that I believe that the State leads to evil behavior. So, I collect examples on that: In the christian state (intentional sarcasm) of Italy it is now a crime to assist illegal immigrants that are in distress at sea. If you didn’t find the problem with the first read, read it again – and again. The State is punishing private people whose only crime it is to help save the life of unwanted (illegal) humans!

Wage Slavery?

I still have to admit that the whole concept of “wage slavery” escapes my little confused brain.

Wage slavery, as it seems to me, is based on the following understanding:

People working for less compensation then they think would be just. This does not only include the monetary wage but also often the demand for being directly in control of the means of production and even to be paid “the full value of the product”. Often the “control of the means of production” extends to “not being bossed around and treated as property”.

While I do understand all of the above concerns, and sympathize with them (which is one of the reasons I became self-employed), I do not fully understand how to call it “unjust” or even slavery.

The root of all evil: Compound Interest!!!!

A few days ago I sat in a bar talking to a drunken fellow next to me. He was all about that current banking and money system being evil (which I agree on). So I asked him what the main issue for him is: Compound interest! It is the root of all our troubles. Because it means that you can never pay back your debt and that whomever you owe something will own everything sooner or later.
